So, what's so special about "Blogging"?

I don't understand why so many people have blogs. Like, does anyone actually even read these things? If anyone has any tips on how to make a decent blog. Just comment and let me know.

    I think useful content in a timely manner is what people really look for. Useful or at least interesting. Probably more interesting over useful!
